Feel like yourself again. More energy, more strength, more confidence.

You already know healthy habits matter. What's been missing is a way to make them stick around your real life. That's what I help you solve — starting with how you want to feel.

What you actually get

The routine is the tool. How you feel is the result.

You're not here for the plan itself — you're here for how life feels when your routine finally holds around the reasons you came with.

Feel good in your own skin again

Comfortable in your clothes, lighter on your feet and happier with what you see in the mirror — at a pace that lasts, not a crash program.

Energy for the people and things you love

Grandchildren, travel, the surf, a full weekend out — more get-up-and-go for whatever matters most to you, backed by routines that fit your week instead of draining it.

Quiet confidence that you can keep going

No more starting over every Monday. When your routine holds through real weeks, you stop doubting yourself — and that changes how everything else feels.

Does this sound like you?

You probably don’t need more advice. You need something that works for you.

Most people over 50 already know they should move more, eat well and sleep better. Many have tried diets, gyms, apps or programs before — and the changes didn’t last, or didn’t fit their real life. The difference is having someone who gets to know you, understands why this matters to you, and stays personally involved in helping you make it happen.

  • You know movement matters, but your routine has slipped away.
  • Busy weeks leave less time and energy for looking after yourself.
  • You feel less strong or flexible than you used to and aren't sure where to restart.
  • You are already in reasonable shape, but want to feel fitter, stronger and more confident in how you look.
  • You worry that walking, swimming, cycling, surfing or other favourite activities may gradually fall away.

Purpose first

Start with what you want the years ahead to look like.

What do you want those years to hold, and why does being healthier, stronger and more active matter to you? For some people, that reason involves the people they love — being active with a partner, keeping up with the grandkids or travelling together. For others, it’s deeply personal — getting back in the surf, feeling good in their clothes, having more energy, or simply feeling like themselves again.

This is not an easy or instant fix. Lasting improvement usually means changes to routines, habits, priorities and surroundings — sometimes the situations that shape those habits. How much depends on the result you want. You do not need to change everything at once, but you do need to be willing to practise new choices and keep returning after a difficult week.

Are you prepared to make those changes, one manageable step at a time?

A whole-life approach

Five areas, shaped into one realistic routine.

Mindset and consistency come first — they decide whether any routine lasts. Exercise, stretching, eating well and sleep build around them, and your goals are personal, practical and adjusted as you go.

The number one issue

Mindset and consistency

Getting started matters, but keeping going matters more. We look at what motivates you, what tends to interrupt your routine and how to return to it after a difficult week — without expecting perfection. Every other change builds on this.

02

Exercise

Simple movement goals that suit your starting point, your week and the activities you want to keep enjoying.

03

Stretching

Gentle, regular stretching keeps everyday movement easier and supports the activities you care about.

04

Eating well

Small, sensible food habits that support the way you want to live — not a strict or short-lived diet.

05

Sleep well

Realistic steps towards a steadier sleep routine, because good habits are easier when you have more energy.

How coaching works

Start where you are. Build from there.

Start with your future picture

We begin by understanding you — what you want from the years ahead and why it matters, what has worked before, what keeps getting in the way, and what you are genuinely ready to change. Then we look honestly at your starting point.

02

Choose a practical first goal

Together we choose a starting goal from the areas that matter most to you, beginning small enough to work in a real week.

03

Keep going with private, one-to-one support

Regular one-to-one check-ins help you stay accountable, solve problems as they come up, and adjust the approach as your life changes.

What I bring

It’s about having someone in your corner who knows why you’re doing it.

You’re not paying for information — you already have plenty of that. You’re paying for my personal involvement. I get to know you and your life, stay in regular one-to-one contact, help you solve problems when routines break down, keep you accountable, and adjust the approach as you change. At 62, I know staying active is not about following one perfect plan forever.

About Brad

Experience gained by staying active through change.

I’m Brad Shaw, and I’m 62. I’ve spent 24 years coaching skateboarding and surfing, and I’ve stayed active through every stage of life — surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking and running — adapting after injuries and as my body has changed. I was the 1986 Australian Skate Out Champion and a former President of the National Skateboarders Association of Australia.

I deliberately work with a small number of clients so I can give each person real attention — helping clarify your goal, choosing a realistic place to begin and staying involved as you build momentum.

Request a free starting-point review.

I’ll read your answers personally. The review helps us both decide whether working together makes sense. If it does, I’ll reply by email about a starting point and how we might work together.

It’s not a medical or fitness assessment — just an honest, personal look at your first steps.

I work with a limited number of clients at a time, so everyone gets my personal attention. I’m currently taking on a small number of founding clients.
